The Conference Centre team at Rothamsted Enterprises, based on the Rothamsted Research Harpenden Campus, have a varied and interesting new role for a Meeting and Events Supervisor. This is an exciting time to join our team as we gear up to increase the occupancy of our beautiful facilities. We are looking for an experienced candidate who has managed events and teams previously and is passionate about the events industry, excited about joining a growing business and who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing environment!
The Meeting and Events Supervisor will support the successful delivery of all events including meetings, large international conferences, public and private events and weddings as the business requires, working as part of a wider events team.
You will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating temporary staff and will work closely with the Front of House Manager to develop existing processes, procedures and product ranges. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and work under your own initiative, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to prioritise and be proactive. You will have excellent attention to detail and understanding of the clients’ needs.
